Christmas Tree Recycling Each year, Scouts in Sherwood recycle Christmas trees at the Albertson's parking lot during the first two weekends after Christmas.  This event is organized by the Boy Scout Troop 116. We help provide the kid-power and trucks to collect the trees. In addition to being a community service project, we also share in the profits. It is very important that everyone signs in/out during your assigned time.  The money recieved by the pack is based on the number of people and trucks that are working to support our tree-recycling effort.   The dollars earned on a given day will be distributed based on the hours worked by each unit.   The concept is a scouter with a truck is actively driving around and bringing in more trees(money) vs. a scouter who waiting for a drop off or helping someone in a Truck.
