Pack 710 draws most of it's membership from
Sherwood Oregon. We meet at Archer Glen Elementary, but have
scouts from most of the elementary schools in town. We have about
90 boys (grades 1-5) divided
into 12 dens. Our pack generally meets on the last Tuesday of the month
and we also have one Pack activity a month.
This website is meant to give parents information about the activities
of your pack including pack outings, service projects, and contact
information. We are also working on adding information and links to
help with your son's advancement.

Spring Recruiting at Schools Cub Scout
recruiting season is upon us! We’re hoping you consider Scouting
as one of
the best opportunities to enhance your sons’ character development into
young
adulthood. Every experience in Scouting
is centered on teaching Cub Scouting’s 12 Core Values, with a priority
on
having
fun. Those of us who have made the
commitment have joined a great community of parents who see the value
in the Scouting
program. If you want the best return on
time invested for your son, we believe there is no better choice.
Boys age 6 through 10 are eligible to join
Cub Scouts, starting as early as the last day of kindergarten.
This
year we want to inform everybody of our plans to start a new
Cub Scout Pack in Sherwood, with a targeted start in the Fall of 2013. Beginning this Spring, Pack 710 is recruiting
from Edy Ridge, in addition to our traditional recruiting at Archer
Glen and
Hopkins. Our intent is to seamlessly
grow the new Pack within Pack 710, train the new leadership within our
ranks,
and create the new Pack when the leadership and membership structure
enables
it. Our plans are highly dependent on
recruiting new parent volunteers and leaders, so please contact us when
you are
ready to join!

NEW DATE JUNE 16! Starting 2pm Come join Pack 710 for
our end-of-the-year family field day and BBQ. All Scouts,
siblings, and potential scouts and siblings are welcome to join
us.
This year's theme is Survival
Scout!We already
have several great ideas for activities and as always we're seeking
parent volunteers to help out. Please let your Den Leader or the
Cubmaster know if you'd like to volunteer.
The Pack will provide the main dish at the BBQ, and each den is asked
to bring sides according to the following assignments:
Den 1, 3 Webelos 2 - Deserts
Den 4 Tigers - Chips, dip,
crackers
Den 5, 8 Bears -
Vegetables, dip, green salads
Den 9, 10 Wolves - Fruits,
fruit salad
Den 11, 12 Bears -
Bread, rolls, etc.
It has been decided by
Pack leadership that Packrageous will be moved to June 16-17 this year,
to avoid baseball tournaments and Cruise-In. This move gives us
the best opportunity for maximum participation, and for putting on a
successful program.
Registered Scouts can sign up at the May Pack meeting to stay Saturday
night in the cabins.
Pack Bylaws, adopted March 13 In the interest of
improving Pack operations, Pack Leadership has developed and approved
formal Bylaws. The Bylaws are intended to specify all aspects of
Pack operation including roles and responsibilities, policies,
financial matters, membership, awards, uniform standards, etc.
All parents in the Pack are expected to read and understand the Bylaws,
and where necessary contribute to their improvement. Revision A
of the Bylaws are linked HERE, and will reside permanently in the
Parent Info page linked above.
